Althaea comes from the Greek althaia, “healing”, because of its medicinal properties.
Marshmallow is emollient, for internal use it is indicated during enteritis and constipation, while externally it treats angina, gingivitis, dental abscess, boils, abscess, eye disease. It is also very effective against irritant cough, larybgitis and bronchitis.

Internal use:
Herbal tea 10 g / 250 ml; 10 min infusion or 3h maceration; drink 1 cup 3 times / day
External use:
Root decoction: a handful of roots cut for 1l of water. Boil 10 min.
