How the Dulcolax dragées work
The effect of the Dulcolax dragees is based on the active ingredient bisacodyl. This has a laxative effect by promoting the accumulation of water and salts in the intestine. This leads to an increase in the volume of the intestinal contents and thus to a stimulation of the bowel movement (peristalsis). At the same time, the stool becomes softer, which makes it easier to empty the bowels.
Since these are enteric coated dragées, the active ingredient is only released in the large intestine and not absorbed through the mucous membrane of the small intestine.

Die Wirkung der Dulcolax Dragйes beruht auf dem Wirkstoff Bisacodyl. Dieser wirkt abfьhrend, indem er die Ansammlung von Wasser und Salzen im Darm fцrdert.
