Dragon’s blood is valued for its high content of natural active substances . It is used as a dietary supplement, but also for minor skin injuries and infections.
This food supplement is obtained from the Croton lechleri tree, which grows deep in the Amazon rainforest. It got its name Sangre de drago or also dragon’s blood because the sap that the tree secretes for its defense and healing resembles blood in its appearance. In addition, the shape of the seeds of this tree resembles a dragon.
Dragon’s blood is highly valued in Peru for its high content of natural active substances such as alkaloids, flavonols, diterpenes and proanthocyanindins . It is most often used as a dietary supplement, but in Peru it is also used for minor skin injuries or insect bites . Due to its analgesic, antibiotic and antiviral effects, it is useful in various types of injuries and infections .
Dosage
Internally: 5 drops dissolved in 200 ml of water 1-3 times a day.
External rubbing: Just apply the droplet to the affected area of skin, rub gently and allow to dry.
