Oral spray allows very easy handling, precise application to the affected area and ensures overall hygiene when using Dragon’s blood.
Dragon’s blood is the sap from the Peruvian tree Croton lechleri , which flows out after cutting its bark. It got its name “dragon’s blood” due to its color and character. Sap is obtained from 10–20-year-old trees with a trunk diameter of 45 cm. It is taken in the morning, as the yield of sap is lower in the period after sunrise. The tree excretes sap for its defense and wound healing , which was discovered by the local natives and began to be used in this sense. It is a pure liquid latex .
Western civilization discovered dragon’s blood through Spanish conquerors, specifically the priest Banebé Cobo, around 1600. He described its positive qualities for use in local traditional medicine.
