Desert Hawks, JESTRABI POUSTE, Leo Nomis a Brian Cull

The Israeli War of Independence in the summer and fall of 1948 found its heroes in volunteers coming from all over the world. One of them was a World War II veteran, fighter pilot, American Leo Nomis. We will follow his destinies. And the Czech reader will be particularly interested in the training of Israeli pilots in České Budějovice and the deployment of Czechoslovakia. Avia S-199 fighters over the desert and the Mediterranean Sea.
