Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a perennial bitter herb that has been used since ancient times. Flowering stems are used for collection and dried at a temperature of max. 40 ° C. Wormwood is also abundant in the Czech Republic and Europe. Wormwood is a source of chlorophyll, folate, essential oils (eg thujone and zulene), glycosidic mustards (absinthin and anabsinthin), vitamins A and C, as well as minerals (calcium, iodine, potassium and sulfur). The non-woody part of wormwood is collected from June to August.

Pelyněk pravý (Artemisia absinthium) je vytrvalá hořká bylina, která se využívá již od starověku. Pro sběr se využívá kvetoucí nať a suší se při teplotě max. 40 °C. Pelyněk se vyskytuje i hojně na území České republiky a Evropy. Pelyněk pravý je zdrojem chlorofylu, folátu, silic (např. thujon a zulen), glykosidních hořčínů (absinthin a anabsinthin), vitamínu A a C a také minrálů (vápník, jód, draslík a síra). Sbírá se nezdřevnatělá část pelyňkové nati od června do srpna.
