Aspirin plus C effervescent tablets (pack size: 20 pieces) as a cold medicine contains two active ingredients: acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), which is contained in all aspirin products, and vitamin C. Acetylsalicylic acid has antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
ASA is one of the so-called non-opioid pain relievers and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. What they have in common is that they inhibit the formation of prostaglandins (certain messenger substances). In this way, both the transmission and perception of pain in the brain and inflammation are inhibited – and the pain subsides. The acetylsalicylic acid also has an influence on the temperature regulation center in the brain, which has the consequence that the fever drops.

One tablet of the Aspirin plus C effervescent tablets (pack size: 20 pcs) contains:
400 mg acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)
240 mg vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Other ingredients / auxiliary materials:
Sodium dihydrogen citrate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid, sodium carbonate (H2O-free).
Aspirin plus C Brausetabletten (Packungsgro?e: 20 stk) als Erkaltungsmittel enthalt zwei Wirkstoffe: Acetylsalicylsaure (ASS), die in allen Aspirin-Produkten enthalten ist, und Vitamin C. Die Acetylsalicylsaure besitzt fiebersenkende, schmerzstillende und entzundungshemmende Eigenschaften.
ASS gehort zu den sogenannten nicht-opioiden Schmerzmitteln und den nicht-steroidalen Antirheumatika. Ihnen gemeinsam ist, dass sie die Bildung von Prostaglandinen (bestimmte Botenstoffe) hemmen. Auf diese Weise werden sowohl Schmerzweiterleitung und -wahrnehmung im Gehirn als auch Entzundungen gehemmt – und der Schmerz klingt ab. Die Acetylsalicylsaure nimmt zudem Einfluss auf das Temperaturregulationszentrum im Gehirn, was zur Folge hat, dass das Fieber sinkt.
