What APO-IBUPROFEN is and what it is used for
APO-IBUPROFEN contains the active substance ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of ‘non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs’. It prevents the formation of tissue agents, so-called prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation and are released at the site of tissue damage. Ibuprofen relieves pain and inflammation of various origins. Ibuprofen also suppresses the fever that accompanies, for example, colds. APO-IBUPROFEN is used, for example, for headaches, toothaches, back pain, painful menstruation, muscle and joint pain associated with flu, and soft tissue injuries such as bruising and sprains. Furthermore, APO-IBUPROFEN is used for febrile conditions associated with influenza and as an adjunct treatment for febrile conditions in other diseases. In inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine (arthritis and osteoarthritis) accompanied by pain, redness, swelling and joint stiffness, the product should only be used on the advice of a doctor. Due to the amount of active substance in one tablet, the product is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Pripravek APO-IBUPROFEN obsahuje lecivou latku ibuprofen, ktera patri do skupiny tzv. nesteroidnich protizanetlivych leciv. Zabranuje tvorbe tkanovych pusobku, tzv. prostaglandinu, ktere jsou zodpovedne za vznik bolesti a zanetu a uvolnuji se v miste poskozeni tkane. Ibuprofen zmirnuje bolest a zanet ruzneho puvodu. Ibuprofen rovnez tlumi horecku, ktera provazi napr. nemoci z nachlazeni. Pripravek APO-IBUPROFEN se uziva napr. pri bolesti hlavy, zubu, zad, pri bolestive menstruaci, pri bolesti svalu a kloubu provazejici chripkova onemocneni, pri poraneni mekkych tkani jako je pohmozdeni a podvrtnuti. Dale se APO-IBUPROFEN uziva pri horecnatych stavech doprovazejicich chripkova onemocneni a jako doplnkova lecba horecnatych stavu pri jinych onemocnenich. V pripade zanetlivych a degenerativnich onemocneni kloubu a patere (artritide a artroze) provazenych bolestivosti, zarudnutim, otokem a kloubni ztuhlosti se pripravek pouziva pouze na doporuceni lekare. Pripravek je vzhledem k mnozstvi lecive latky v jedne tablete urcen pro dospele a dospivajici nad 12 let.
