As often happens, the imported terminology is not fully understood in Ukraine. Many manufacturers, sellers and consumers are trying to define and distinguish between organic, eco – and bio – products. In fact, the three terms are synonymous. Products without chemical additives are called in different countries in their own way. The concept of “organic products” is used in the United States, Great Britain and Japan, while “eco” is typical for the Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries. The prefix “bio” is used in Germany and France. The movement of environmentally friendly goods began in the West in the 60s of the last century. For Ukraine, this phenomenon is considered relatively new. The mass consumer learned and fell in love with such products only in the XXI century. At the legislative level, some rules for producers and sellers of environmental goods have already been regulated. Domestic legislators have chosen the term “organic products”. What is the significance of this variety of synonyms? Eco, bio, or organic products are products of plant or animal origin grown under artificial conditions identical to the natural environment of individual plant or animal species. Fertilizer and feed must be natural, without any chemical impurities. The land on which the cattle graze should not be contaminated or treated with chemicals. The same requirements apply to the land on which plant products are grown. Fishing should be conducted in artificial conditions. Water should not contain harmful and special chemical components. In addition, the eco-farm must be fenced off with a buffer zone. If a highway, other farms, or fields that are treated with chemicals are located near it – the scale of the buffer zone should be larger. It is also worth noting that environmentally friendly products cannot be produced using technologies that harm the environment. The packaging used must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Como sucede a menudo, la terminología importada no se entiende completamente en Ucrania. Muchos fabricantes, vendedores y consumidores intentan dar su definición y encontrar diferencias entre productos orgánicos, ecológicos y biológicos. En realidad, estos tres términos son sinónimos. Los productos sin aditivos químicos se llaman en diferentes países a su manera. El concepto de “productos orgánicos “se aplica en los Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido y Japón,” eco ” es típico de los países bajos y los países escandinavos. El prefijo ” bio ” se usa en Alemania y Francia. El movimiento de productos ecológicos comenzó en Occidente en los años 60 del siglo pasado. Para Ucrania, este fenómeno se considera relativamente nuevo. El consumidor masivo reconoció y amó tales productos solo en el siglo XXI. A nivel legislativo, ya se han establecido algunas reglas para los fabricantes y vendedores de productos ambientales. Los legisladores nacionales eligieron el término “productos orgánicos”. ¿Qué importancia tiene esta variedad de sinónimos? Eco, bio, o productos orgánicos son productos de origen vegetal o animal, cultivados en condiciones artificiales idénticas al entorno natural de ciertas especies de plantas o animales. El fertilizante y la alimentación deben ser naturales, sin impurezas químicas uniformes. La tierra donde pastan los animales no debe estar contaminada ni tratada con productos químicos. Los mismos requisitos para la tierra en la que se cultivan los productos vegetales. La Pesca debe llevarse a cabo en condiciones artificiales. El agua no debe contener componentes químicos dañinos y especiales. Además, la eco-granja debe estar protegida por una zona de amortiguamiento. Si cerca de ella se encuentra una pista, otra granja, o campos que se tratan con productos químicos-la escala de la zona de amortiguación debe ser mayor. También vale la pena señalar que los productos ecológicos no se pueden producir a través de tecnologías que dañan el medio ambiente. El embalaje utilizado debe ser desechado de manera respetuosa con el medio ambiente.
