This medication contains essential fatty acids that have the property of lowering the triglyceride level in the blood. It also slightly decreases the ability of the blood to clot.
It is used in the treatment of excess triglycerides which persist despite an adapted and diligent diet, and in addition to the standard treatments, in the prevention of recurrences of myocardial infarction .

Precautions are necessary in the event of serious bleeding (surgical intervention, trauma …). Caution is also recommended in patients with renal insufficiency and in people over 70 years of age (limited clinical data).
Blood tests (dosage of transaminases ) will be prescribed regularly in patients with liver problems.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking an oral anticoagulant .

The effect of this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding is poorly understood: only your doctor can assess the possible risk of its use in your case.

Usual dosage:

Adult :
Excess triglycerides : 2 to 4 capsules per day.
After a myocardial infarction : 1 capsule per day.
