Treat skin fungus early and consistently

Up to 15% of adults in Germany suffer from athlete’s foot. Fungi lurk anywhere that is warm and moist. Skin folds are particularly often affected. If the skin is injured or cracked, fungi can penetrate, multiply rapidly and spread from there. The most common symptoms are itching, redness, burning, skin changes and inflammation.

Since fungal infections rarely heal on their own and are unpleasant, the affected area should be treated consistently with clotrimazole as soon as one is suspected, thus containing the fungus. The longer a fungus is ignored, the more complex the treatment becomes. Skin fungus is rarely dangerous, but it is contagious and often returns.
