Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a sulfuric acid found in all cells of the body. It plays a key role in producing the energy the body needs to function properly. The body naturally produces ALA, in minute quantities.

The alpha-lipoic acid exists in two forms. The R form is produced naturally by the body, while the S is obtained artificially and would be less active.

Metabolic treatment.

Endowed with an important antioxidant power , ALA has the advantage of being soluble in water (water-soluble) and in fats (fat-soluble), which allows it to neutralize several types of free radicals, since it can act in these two environments. It is for this reason that it is sometimes called a universal antioxidant. ALA also has the property of partially recycling other antioxidants, notably vitamin E, vitamin C and glutathione, which thus increases their lifespan and their effectiveness. It also has the ability to trap toxic metals, such as arsenic, cadmium and mercury.

Directions for use and dosage

2 tablets per day to swallow with a large glass of water.
