IPRAALOX 20 MG GASTRO-RESISTANT TABLET, 14

IPRAALOX contains the active substance pantoprazole which reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach by blocking the “proton pump”.

IPRAALOX is used for the short-term treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (eg heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease is the flow of acid from the stomach into the esophagus, which can become inflammatory and painful. This can cause symptoms such as a burning sensation in the chest going up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

Acid reflux and heartburn may go away after one day of treatment with IPRAALOX. However, this medicine is not meant to bring immediate relief. It may be necessary to continue treatment for 2 or 3 consecutive days for improvement of symptoms.

IPRAALOX est utilisé pour le traitement à court terme des symptômes du reflux gastro-œsophagien (par exemple brûlures d’estomac, régurgitation acide) chez l’adulte.

Le reflux gastro-œsophagien est la remontée d’acide de l’estomac dans l’œsophage, qui peut devenir inflammatoire et douloureux. Cette situation peut provoquer des symptômes tels une sensation de brûlure dans la poitrine remontant jusqu’à la gorge (pyrosis) et un goût aigre dans la bouche (régurgitation acide).

Le reflux acide et les brûlures d’estomac peuvent disparaître après un jour de traitement par IPRAALOX. Toutefois ce médicament n’est pas destiné à apporter un soulagement immédiat. Il peut s’avérer nécessaire de poursuivre le traitement pendant 2 ou 3 jours consécutifs pour l’amélioration des symptômes.
